Oglebay Resort

The room was a little small but good. The shower was a little tricky and had hair still in it. Honestly my biggest complaint was dining. My son ordered salmon, he ate a bite and realized there was hair in it(like it was on the pan and got cooked on the fish). When I told the waiter he asked me if I wanted it cooked more or just want a new one. I was a little confused, and said a new one would be fine. He came back and I wanted to clarify what was wrong with the fish, he said no I didn't see hairs at all and everyone has nets on. I just said ok and left it alone. The breakfast I think needed some more options for people who don't eat pork, but out waitress was great and personable.

What a wonderful place! I was looking for a nice spot for a short trip during spring break. This was close to home and well within our price range. The building is gorgeous, the rooms were comfortable and the surrounding area was beautiful. The only, only complaint we had were the bathroom doors in our room. They would close and slip off track and not reopen. Super minor and didn't take away from the overall trip. We will absolutely be visiting again when it's warm and we can fully take in all that Oglebay has to offer!

This historical place is just so awesome, the grounds are amazing! They literally have everything on the grounds!! So much to do there ! Even a zoo and the people there are so informative about it all. We just love this place and each time I come to West Virginia Wheeling I try to book at Oglebay ! But they are usually so booked out . Always looking forward to get a spot !

Beautiful grounds, main restaurant was great for breakfast. But pricey

The room was clean and very pretty The staff was extremely kind, helpful and accommodating. 88 burgers and brews was exceptional as a stop in between lights for dinner.
